Hyperhidrosis
Botox® for Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis)
If you struggle with excessive sweating that disrupts your daily life, Botox® offers a proven, long-lasting solution. Clinically approved by the FDA for underarms, and off label for palms, feet and face.
How Botox Works
Sweating is controlled by nerve signals sent to your sweat glands. Botox works by temporarily blocking these signals in the treated area, dramatically reducing sweat production. The procedure targets only the problem area—so you’ll still sweat normally elsewhere to regulate your body temperature.
The Procedure
After a full consultation is given by one of our highly experienced Nurses a fine needle is used to inject small amounts of Botox just under the skin.
The injections are placed in a grid-like pattern, about 1–2 cm apart, to cover the entire sweating zone evenly.
The number of injections varies—underarms typically need about 10–15 per side, palms and soles may need more. The palms and soles of feet are always treated separately.
Aftercare
You can resume most activities right away, but it’s best to avoid heavy exercise or hot environments for the rest of the day.
