Botulinum toxin type A (Botox®) for Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis)

If excessive sweating is impacting your confidence, comfort, or daily life, botulinum toxin type A (Botox®) can provide an effective and long-lasting medical solution.

• Clinically approved by the MHRA for treating underarm sweating, and safely used “off-label” for areas such as the palms, soles of the feet and the face.
• Works by temporarily blocking the nerve signals that activate sweat glands, reducing sweat production in the treated area.
• Sweating continues as normal in untreated areas to maintain healthy temperature regulation.

What to Expect from Treatment

Your journey begins with a comprehensive consultation with one of our experienced Nurses. During the procedure:

• A fine needle is used to inject small amounts of botulinum toxin type A (Botox®) just beneath the skin in a grid-like pattern.
• Underarms usually require 10–15 small injections per side.
• Palms and soles may need a higher number of injections and are always treated separately.
• Hyperhidrosis for the face is determined at consultation.
• The treatment is quick, minimally invasive, and designed to maximise comfort.

Aftercare

You can return to most normal activities straight away. However, to ensure the best results, we recommend avoiding:

• Heavy exercise
• Saunas, steam rooms, or hot showers

for the first 24 hours after treatment.
