OBAGI BLUE PEEL (DEEP)

Obagi Blue Peel® is a medical grade skin peel treatment that can only be administered by highly trained nurses, dermatologists, doctors and dentists. Obagi Blue Peel® is an excellent chemical peel for hyperpigmentation, dramatically improving pigmentation and signs of ageing to give a fresh, rejuvenated complexion. The Obagi Blue peel® results in the removal of thin layers of aged and damaged skin resulting in tightened, less wrinkled, more youthful, clear skin. The Obagi Blue Peel® uses Trichloracetic Acid (TCA) as the active ingredient mixed with the patented Blue Base from Obagi.

Unlike most skin peels or at-home procedures, the Obagi Blue Peel® puts control of your treatment in our professional hands. The strength of the skin peel treatment will be determined based on individual needs, the level of skin damage and the desired level of transformation.

DO I NEED TO PREPARE MY SKIN BEFORE HAVING THIS PEEL? To prepare the skin and for best possible outcome prior to the procedure, the Obagi Nu-Derm System must be used.

DOES OBAGI BLUE PEEL HURT?
There is some discomfort associated with the peel which is generally a burning or stinging sensation. Some patients find it helpful to take simple painkillers 30 minutes before their peel appointment.

HOW MANY OBAGI BLUE PEELS WILL I NEED?
For most patients, one peel along with the pre-care Obagi Nu Derm regime is enough to give the desired results. This is dependent on your individual skin concern and the level or result you want to achieve.
A second Obagi Blue Peel may be repeated 7 weeks after the first, and you may consider repeating it every few years to maintain the results.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER MY OBAGI BLUE PEEL?
Your skin will have a blue tint for the first day after treatment. After 2 days your skin will begin to peel and this will continue for an average of 10 days.

You should expect some peeling for up to a week post peel. It is important that you to stay out of the sun as much as possible until your skin has fully recovered, as it will be very susceptible to sun damage with the outer layers removed.
